He was predeceased by: his former wife Frances; and his daughter Kathryn Starr. He is survived by: his children, Linda Winans (Paul), Tamia Priestaf (Mark) and Timothy Starr (Mary); his stepchildren, James Martin (Vickie), Jane Steinmetz (John) and John Martin (Linda); and his siblings, Patricia Potter (Ronald), Janet Pettigrew (Mike) and James Starr (Anne).
