Robert E. Kroening Obituary
Robert E. (Bob) Kroening of Hales Corners passed away on September 2, 2024, at age 64.
A beloved son and brother, Bob is survived by his mother Carol and stepfather Terry Bratberg, sisters Terri Santos and Kelly Olivas, and brothers Todd Kroening and Sean Bratberg. Also left to cherish his memory are nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving father Robert Kroening Sr, and dear brother Chris Kroening.
Bob was born the 2nd child of 6 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In his early years he became a cook at a local restaurant. After developing his culinary talent, he would then earn the title of "Chef" at more prominent restaurants. After some years and much fun in this early career, Bob decided to go to Tech school to be an electrician. He originally worked for a company, and after gaining some experience under his belt, decided to open his own business as a Security Systems Specialist. In addition to his electrical skills, Bob was a self-taught jack of all trades who became an expert craftsman. He developed an aptitude for plumbing, dry walling, roofing, carpentry, and everything else needed to be able to work on any home improvement projects or fix another person's mistakes.
Bob is described by his family as meticulous, incredibly tenacious, and one of the hardest working and most dedicated people around. The list of businesses and customers awaiting him to fulfill their project requests was impressive to say the least.
When Bob wanted to take a short break from working, he found great joy in the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, golfing, gardening, and socializing.
Unfortunately, Bob had a heart condition, that over time, got the best of him. He was a fighter, but his body just started to deteriorate. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 20th from 1PM (beginning with a short service) until 4PM.
