He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Jaeger and Arthur Jaeger; his brother Martin Jaeger; and his parents-in-law, Mildred and Dominic Dighera.

He is survived by: his children, Michael (late Eileen) and Kristine (Frank Imp); his grandchildren, Jeremy Jaeger (Annmarie), Jessica Jaeger, Richard Imp and Steven Imp; his great grandchild Logan Jaeger; and his sister Dorothy Monty.
