She is survived by: her friend Cheryl Axford; her children, Mary Below (Carl) of Waukesha, James Gapinski (Nancy) of Green Bay, Nancy Migliano (John) of Brookfield, Susan Gasparri (Mario) of Greendale and Daniel Gapinski (Nancy) of Glendale; her grandchildren, Alyse Rodich (Brad), Lauren Grisa (Jacob), Samantha Benz (Collin), Aaron Below (Jeanette), Carley Below, Joshua Below, Abigail Mikesell (Dave), Ellen Montenaro (Mike), Max Gapinski, Maggi Phelps (James), Tess Linn (Steve), Katherine Hetue (Luke), Paul Gapinski, Sonja Gapinski, Natalie Moxon (Brett), Nathan Dillon, Noah Dillon, Jack Migliano, Ava Migliano, Bianca Gasparri, Piero Gasparri, Marisa Gasparri, Mario Gasparri, Gina Gasparri, Ben Gapinski and Zoe Gapinski; her great grandchildren, Luke, Nate, Alaina, Audrey, Everett, Samuel, Clara, Eleanora, Elizabeth, Sophia, Isaiah, John of Bernie, EJ, Rico, Judy, Maria, Josephine, Martin, Eliza and Miles; and her siblings-in-law, Michael (Susan) of Hubertus, Peter (Carol) of Green Bay and Mary Ellen Gapinski of Wisconsin Rapids. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

“I wish to express my deep sympathy to Joan's family for their great loss. I have sweet memories of both Joan and Tom. They were my wonderful, kind, friendly next-door neighbors when they lived at Lexington Village for several years not long ago. I will continue to remember them fondly, especially when the Rose of Sharon bush they planted at their patio here is in bloom again later this summer and in summers to come.”
