He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Robert O'Connor; and his parents, Diane Further and Gene Tess Sr. Further. He is survived by: his spouse Kandra Tess (Nee O'Connor); his son Cody Tess (Taylor); his grandchildren, Mathilda and Cassidy; his sibling Gene Tess Jr. (Donita); his mother-in-law Karen; his siblings-in-law, Tim O'Connor (Sue), Pam O'Connor (late Patrick) and Katy Merkel (Brian); his nieces, Kayla, Vanessa and Jessica Tess; his nephew Brian A. Merkel; and his cousin Jen Kupstis. He is also survived by many other relatives, friends and co-workers.
