It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Ivan Joerres (Hales Corners, Wisconsin), who passed away on June 14, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Theresa Pauc; his brothers, Fred, William and Frank; his children, Eugene Joseph Joerres, Mary Ann Joerres and Roberta Louise Bie; his children-in-law, Laura Joerres, Adrian Wnukowski and Richard Bie; and his grandchildren, Daniel Joerres (Jenna Van Allen), Joseph Daniel Wnukowski (Sonia Ellison), Adam Joerres (Kim) and Mary Katherine "Katie" Whorton (Taylor).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wisconsin Society for Ornithology or the Nature Conservancy appreciated.
