He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Bergner and Lorraine Bergner; and his siblings, Eugene Bergner, Wendy Nelson, Brian Bergner and Bobby Bergner.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Bergner; his son Paul Grotjahn (Becky); his granddaughter Annie Grotjahn; his daughters, Ashley Bergner and Chelsea Bergner; his close friends, Chelsea Bergner and Ashley Bergner; his grandchildren, Chloe and Adam Bergner; his pet Chloe; and his siblings, Rosie, Jim Bergner (Kathy) and Duane Bergner (Penny). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hartson Funeral Home (11111 W Janesville Rd, Hales Corners, WI 53130-2530). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
