He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Colleen Treichel; his children, Erin Eliszewski (Brian), Maura Treichel and Kera Treichel; his grandson Liam Eliszewski; his parents, Bev Treichel and Clyde Treichel; and his siblings, Sharon Wolf (late Terry), Debbie Meyer (Doug), Terry Ann Kaphingst and Susan Severson. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.

One of his more recent hobbies became roasting his own coffee beans which he took great pleasure in donating and gifting to friends and several charitable groups.
