He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank McLaughlin and Dorothy McLaughlin (Lehman); his wife Mary Lou; his son Michael McLaughlin; and his brother James McLaughlin.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann of Hager City; his children, Rick McLaughlin of Mobridge, SD, Sara Christon (Chris) of Hartford, WI, Scott McLaughlin (Nancy Danforth) of Fountain Hills, AZ and Tim McLaughlin of Vadnais Heights, MN; his daughter-in-law Carol Brannon of Rochester; his grandchildren, Molly Purnell (Chris), Peter, Nick Christon, Cassie Cherevko, Nick McLaughlin (Ashli), Garret McLaughlin, Mandy McLaughlin (Al Thompson), Dallas McLaughlin (Jen Adler), Tricia Wallace (Ryan), Daniel McLaughlin (Kelsey) and Justin McLaughlin; and his sons, Todd Johnson (Betsy), Brian Johnson (Kari), Bruce Johnson (Lisa), Jason Johnson and Bradley Johnson (Mary Bailey). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
