He was predeceased by: his son Bryan; his parents, Lawrence Bender and Lorraine Bender (Kurey); his parents-in-law, Robert and Marion VanHandel; his siblings, Richard Bender, Eleanor Willis (Wally) and Shirley Fank (Ray); and his brothers-in-law, Jim and Ron VanHandel.
He is survived by: his wife Laura (Van Handel); his son Dan (Stephanie); his daughter-in-law Jessica; his grandchildren, Lilly, Griffin, Ally and Reese; his sisters, Mary Bruch and Evelyn Wolosek; and his sisters-in-law, Judy VanHandel and Barb Wenninger (Joe).
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish (N2385 Municipal Dr, Greenville, WI 54942). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
