She is survived by: her husband Vernon Marquardt; her son-in-law Stan Dorn (Pam); her children, Amy Ahrens (Mark) and Craig Marquardt (Kristin); her grandchildren, Travis, Josh Dorn, Danielle Morris (Dural), Ashley, Kayla Ahrens, Karlie, Kenzie and Christopher Marquardt; her great grandchildren, Parker Ahrens, Noah and Moriah Morris; and her siblings, Kenneth Aschbrenner (Marlene), Allen Aschbrenner (MaryAnn), Larry Aschbrenner (Carol), Leon Aschbrenner (Kitty), Rodney Aschbrenner (Lorna), Warren Aschbrenner (Suzanne), Roy Aschbrenner (Barb), Joyce Oelke, Marlene Thurs (Duke) and Lois Higgins (Ron).

Kayla had multiple roles at the nursing home from a professional standpoint, but her role as Granddaughter was vital to providing the family love that others could not during the COVID lockdown.
