He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kearn and Ella Syring Kearn; and his wife Joyce Neubert. He is survived by: his children, Jody Ziegler (Todd), Faye Diedrich (Joe), Jeff Kearn (Ann) and Kristi Schultz (Jay); his grandchildren, Samuel, Zachary Ziegler, Curtis, Derrick, Anthony, Benjamin, Cianna Diedrich, Ella and Charles Schultz; and his siblings, Marion Dietrich and Robert Kearn.

A memorial has been established Gordon's family would like to thank Dr. Jack Anderson, and the staff of Theda Care-Neenah 5th floor.
