In loving memory of Carol Koomen of Greenleaf, Wisconsin, born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, who departed this world on October 5, 2024 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Gilson and Norma Gilson (Winkler); her husband Leston K. Koomen; her in-laws, John and Leona Koomen (Cousineau); her siblings, Marian Austen (Gilson), Roger Gilson and Wayne; her sister-in-law Joan Koomen; and her niece Patty Koomen.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Koomen (Joy) and Marian Cleven; her grandchildren, Christy Pavlik (Tom), John Koomen (Michelle), Shannon Koomen and Amanda Novitski (Charles); her great grandchildren, Jaeger, Nevaeh, Troy, Arther, Tenley Pavlik, Desiree, Ashlyn, Kayliegh, Brennyn Koomen, Dariann Zimmerman (Elijah), Angelina (Matt), Emma and Jaxson Novitski; her great great grandchildren, Carter and Nora Zimmerman; her sister-in-law Mary Gilson; and her goddaughters, Kim Beining (Dave) and Liz Winkler Hawkes. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations may be made to the Wrightstown Historical Society or Angels of Hope Preschool at Hope Lutheran Church in De Pere.
