He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gladys Tesmer; his children, Cheryl Joyce, Janelle Netzel (late William), Richard Tesmer (Pam), Ronald Tesmer, Lynette Tesmer, Michele Reid and James Tesmer; his grandchildren, Jacqueline Golomski (Ryan), Joette Dalton (JJ), Jenica Joyce, Michael Joyce (Leslie), Rachelle Catarozzoli (Ben), Tiffany Weeks (Gabe), Corey Jones (Kalen), Richard Tesmer (Kiendra), Emily Tesmer, John Tesmer, Maria Davis (Steve), Joseph Tesmer (Vivian), Jason Karpinski, Ryan Wippert, Joshua Wippert, Shamiah Dekker (Chad), Shainah Greene (Nate), Karah Reid, Maja Tesmer, Nate Tesmer and Noah Tesmer; and his close friend Marta Schultz. He was also cherished by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project appreciated.
