He was predeceased by: his parents, Matt Haen and Jeanette Haen (Vander Wettering); his wife Shirley Verstoppen; his son-in-law Daniel Burkart; his siblings, Harold Haen (Ruth), Gordon Haen (Doris), Martha Harvey (Raymond), Florence LaChappelle (Louie), Rosella Kurowski (Martin) and Hazel Aldrich (Delbert); his siblings-in-law, Viola Andrews (Oliver), Ruth Carriveau (Bob), Florence Lambert (Dick), Patty Schultz (Don), Elma Verstoppen, Raymond (Edith), Bill (Bonnie), Vernon (Norma), Lester, Donald and Norbert Verstoppen; and his close friend Harold Yahnke.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Yahnke (Donald Smith) and Dean Haen (Beth); his grandchildren, Kevin Fenske Jr., Sarah Allen (Andrew), Aaron Haen (Amanda) and Daniel Haen (Kat); his great grandchildren, Alexandria, Kennedy, Natalie, Kenzi, Kailyn, Hadley, Lilah and Daniel Jr.; his sister-in-law Joyce Verstoppen; and his close friend Merle "Smiley" Dechamps. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Roy's name.
