She was predeceased by: her parents, William Smits and Emma Smits (Vander Kelen); her husband Walter "Wally" Horkman; and her brothers, Donald Smits (Jean) and Robert Smits (Pat).
She is survived by: her children, Linda Serrahn (Wayne), Susan Dorak, Rick Horkman (April) and Todd Horkman (Kristy); her grandchildren, Brian Serrahn, Kari Neckuty (Dave), Brett Dorak (Sheena), Taylor Dorak, Dillon Horkman, Rachael Horkman, Corey Horkman, Kyle Horkman and Katie Horkman; and her sister-in-law Joan Horkman. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
