He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolf A. Braatz and Amy O. Sampson (Selke); his siblings, Darryl Braatz and Joyce Radke (Gilbert); his nephew David; his sister Donna Thiele (Ray); his son-in-law Barry Smith; and his cousins, Diane Hardtke (Robert), Judy McCaffrey and Ronald Ronnenberg.
He is survived by: his wife Julie A. Delfosse (Hart); his children, Richard K. Braatz (Justine), Susan M. Humpert (Shawn), Pamela A. Smith (late Barry) and Lisa M. Hansen (Todd); his grandchildren, Casey Messer, Kelley Kramer, Taylor Kerby, Dale Smith, Dak Smith, Lars Hansen and Emily Prim; and his great grandchildren, Alaina, Brielle Messer, Everett, Easton, Barrett Kramer, Jesse Kerby and Briggs Prim.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home (331 S Ellis Ave, Peshtigo, WI 54157). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
