He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cecilia Straten (Nooyen) and Lester Van Straten; his friends, John, Terry and Jim; his wife Julie; his children, Michelle Snell (Steve) and Jeff Van Straten (Stacy); his stepchildren, Kelly Clement (Paul), Mike Fischer (Carrie) and Matt Fischer (Rochelle); his sisters, Cleo Marshall (Jim), Carol Colleran (Dennis) and Judy Hockers (Dan); his grandchildren, Amanda, Tanner, Travis, Tate, Madison, Patrick, Brianna, Brooke, Locklyn and Colton; his pets, Lacey, Sophie and Riley; and his sister-in-law Eileen Avery (Art). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
