He was predeceased by: his mother Marcia Schmidt; and his grandparents, Reuben, Joyce Schmidt, R. W. Nelson and Romaine Nelson.
He is survived by: his father Robert Schmidt; and his son Grant. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
