He was predeceased by: his children, Paul, Gretchen and Jay Ehrfurth (Tammy); his brother Eugene; his siblings-in-law, Harvey Frailing, Lorraine Ehrfurth, Betty Buth and Kathryn Scott; and also, Paul Mech and Elvera Mech.

He is survived by: his wife Marcella; his grandchildren, Corinne, Sean (Jessica), Kyle (Katy) and Bryan; his great grandchildren, Jack, Evan, Liam and Drew; his brother Robert (Leona); and his sister-in-law Virginia Frailing.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
