She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Youngblood and Hazel Youngblood (Graham); her husband Frank Thompson; and her sons, Bruce Thompson and Thomas Thompson.

She is survived by: her children, John Thompson (Cindy) of Juda, WI, Tana Risseeuw (Phil) of Darlington, William "Bill" Thompson (Penny) of Browntown, WI, Dan Thompson (Jody) of Eau Claire, WI, Sallee Gordee (Bruce) of Browntown, WI and David Thompson of Janesville, WI. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

“Dear Thompson Family, So sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. LaVon was a beautiful,kind, and caring lady. The Flynn family knew her and Frank well. Frank actually worked at my dad’s bar in Brodhead. LaVon told me they would save money in a jar and when they reached $100.00 they would make a trip to Brodhead. When I was a kid I stayed at your childhood home a couple of times. Always admired your mother, cooking and playing with you kids. You kids even made up band! So sorry for your loss.”
