He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Nelson and Hazel Nelson (Jensen); his sister Louise Miller (Nelson); and his son Michael Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Rose Nelson (Lund); his son Mark Nelson (Lesley); his grandchildren, Emily Sebo (Chad), Jessica Poskozim (Adam), Nick Nelson (Amy) and Syren Elsner (Joseph); his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Tyler, Elyanna, Adelaide, Lillian, Jordy, Brooks and Samuel; and his sisters, Joan Van Pelt (Richard) and Donis Taylor (James). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
