He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Simon and James Simon; and his siblings, Milo Simon, Lorenzo Simon, Elvina Johnson, Charlotte Croxton, James Simon, Donald Simon, Jordan Simon, David Simon, Ernie Simon, Elton Simon and Lonnie Simon.
He is survived by: his wife Athelene Pingel; his children, Mike Simon (Kathy), Jean Moats (Tom), Vern Simon (Dee), John Simon (Beth) and Jeff Simon; his siblings, Orlando, Berdella and Barbara; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Moats Leibke, Kristina Moats, Nate Moats, Alexandria Marquez, Brie Webster, Micah Simon, Nik Simon, Jonathan Simon, Tim, Tanya Wrich, A. J. Simon, Cassie Simon, Chelsea Simon, Zach Simon, Dawson Simon and Callie Simon. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
