He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Garbisch and Emma Garbisch (Retta); his brothers, Orville and Gary; his daughter Cheryl Steinbach; his parents-in-law, Wilford and Etta Martin; and his siblings-in-law, Marian Kraus, Jeannie Garbisch, Adolph Kraus, Jimmy and Vernal Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Pat (Pat); his children, Cynthia King of La Crosse, Lori Gallagher of Marshfield and Mark Garbisch (Ruth) of Granton; his grandchildren, Nick, Amanda Tabin (Jeremy) of Wausau, Jamie Gallagher (Dawn) of Granton, Matthew Steinbach (Tera) of Stanley and David Steinbach (Emily) of Granton; his great grandchildren, Nicholas Jr., Angelique (Nick), Abigail, Kelsey, Kaynen, Kroix, Kate and Lexi; his sister-in-law Sharon Garbisch; and also Tim Steinbach of Granton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the United Church of Christ (515 W 2nd St, Neillsville, WI 54456). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Windfall Cemetery (Romadka Ave, Granton, WI 54436). The military honors was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:20 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the United Church of Christ (515 W 2nd St, Neillsville, WI 54456).
