He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Jakobi (Butch) and Irene Jakobi (Brown); his wife Carol (Strey); his brothers, Roger, Richard (Dick), Bruce and Terry Jakobi; and also, Victor, Delores Strey and Melvin Severt Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Charlotte Johnson (Duane) of Granton and Lynette Baird (Daniel) of Arpin; his grandchildren, Kevin, Kayla Johnson, Dakota Baird (Makayla Keuffer) and Kasidee Baird (Noah Ulrich); and his brothers, Kenny Jakobi (Rita), David Strey of Granton, Allen Strey (Barbara) of Eau Claire, Kay Severt of Marshfield, Dennis Strey (Sandy) of Marshfield and Gary Strey (Sandy) of Marshfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (Granton Rd, Granton, WI 54436). A graveside service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Windfall Cemetery (Romadka Ave, Granton, WI 54436). The military honors was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:20 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery (Granton Rd, Granton, WI 54436).
