He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert W. Dachel and Elizabeth J. Dachel (Kreutzer); his sons, Jeffrey, Joseph J. (J. J.) and James; his siblings, Andrew Dachel, Susan Gremler and Barbara Frieberg; his parents-in-law, Granville and Monona Weaver; and his in-laws, Jerry Gremler, William Weaver and Dawn Weaver.
He is survived by: his wife Donna M. Weaver; his children, Christopher Dachel of Rudolph, WI, Charles Dachel (Tracie) of Oak Creek, WI, Maria Schwanebeck (Rick) of Granton, WI, Jennifer Salzwedel (Will) of Chili, WI, Michael Dachel (Aimee) of Colorado Springs, CO and Jonathan Dachel (Michelle) of Cheyenne, WY; and his siblings, Philip Dachel (Betty) of Rudolph, WI, Thomas Dachel (Sharon) of Port Edwards, WI, William Dachel (Katherine) of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Paul Dachel (Ellen) of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Margaret Gutshall (Ron) of Sparta, WI.. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (1813 Black River Rd, Neillsville, WI 54456). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Windfall Cemetery (Romadka Ave, Granton, WI 54436). The military honors was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:20 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (1813 Black River Rd, Neillsville, WI 54456).
