She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Erlwig and Emma Wilke Erlwig; her son Richard J. Helms; her husbands, Frederic Helms and Wilbert Redhage; and her siblings, Elinor, Audrey and Kenneth.

She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy Helms-DeYoung (Gary) of Port Angeles and Wendy Helms-Orndorf (David) of Cedarburg, Wisconsin.; her grandchildren, Michael Ehr (Elizabeth), David Ehr (Maria Luisa), Maria Orndorf and Ava Orndorf; and her great grandchildren, Sebastian Ehr, Lucas Ehr, Juan Pablo Marin and David Alejandro Ehr.
