He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Ellerbrock and Alma Ellerbrock; and his former wife Joey. He is survived by: his wife Maureen "Reenie"; his children, Debbie Wimmer, Scott Ellerbrock and Brian Ellerbrock (Rachel); his sister Nina; his grandchildren, Abby Wimmer, Jordan and Ethan Ellerbrock; and his children, Laura Taken-Holtze (Kurt), Brea Ellsworth (Chris), Matt Taken (Jen), Regina, Olivia, Piper, Calvin, Hattie, Bronwyn, Elliott, Miles, Nico and Marley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: St. Bede Academy 24 West Hwy 6 Peru, IL 61354 (his high school which he dearly loved), or the charity of your choice.

“Bob was a fine friend, classmate and athlete . You could Always count on him . He set a positive example from Day 1 at St. Bedes in fall of 1954 . Reunions were my only chances to see him but even as health issues confronted him, Bob was Bob . He and Fr. Allan Mattingly will critic the rest of his Class of 58 Bruins as we conduct our remaining years. Tom Whalen, Phoenix,Az.”
