He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Yakel and Katherine Yakel (Nee Jordon); his sons-in-law, Dennis Hoffmann and Gary Wittemann; and his brother-in-law Raymond Goede.
He is survived by: his wife Gerri; his children, Barbara Dotzauer (Gary), Julie Hoffmann and Mark Yakel (Lori); his grandchildren, Anthony, Ross, Craig, Aaron and Kelsey; his great grandchild Sawyer; and his siblings-in-law, Bud Rusch (Faye) and Susan Goede.
