He was predeceased by: his wife Phoebe; his parents, Paul Scholz and Gertrude Scholz; and his siblings, Alfred, Walter and Lois Jagow.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Scholz (Amy), Constance Scholz, Jay Scholz and Tod Scholz (Beth); his grandchildren, Brian, Erin Scholz, Rachel Mindham (Andrew), Amber Scholz, Jay Linton (Amanda) and Terri Scholz-Wann; and his siblings-in-law, Fred, Norman Jagow, Cordie Mueller, Helen Jagow, Ruth Scholz and Ted Jagow. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers memorials to the Diabetes Foundation or Veterans Association is appreciated.
