He was predeceased by: his parent Edward Cooney; his son Kelly Cooney; his wives, Helen Cooney and Julie Cooney; and his sister Rosie Devine.
He is survived by: his parent Anna Cooney (Beggan); his former wife Julie Cooney; and his children, Patrick Cooney, Barbara Cooney, Detroit, Michael Cooney, Colleen Bernstein, Barry Bernstein, Mequon, Timon, Mindy Cooney and Cedar Grove. He is also survived by Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
