He is survived by: his children, Carol Higgins (James) of Winston-Salem, NC, Richard Stensland of Milwaukee, WI, Norman Stensland (Diana) of Gordon, WI, Charles Stensland (Cheryl) of Solon Springs, WI, Kay Flamang (Howard) of Hayward, WI and Roger Stensland of Mukwonago, WI; and his siblings, Barbara Lawrence and Edward Stensland. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
