It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman George Haegerl of Glidden, Wisconsin, born in Butternut, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 31, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Haegerl and Mary Haegerl (Bruch); his wife Myra Setterman (Smart); and his brother Walter. He is survived by: his children, Debora Thimm (Allen), Michael Setterman (Brenda), Vicki Myszka (Cliff), Susan Schnautz (Michael), Linda Liebelt, Barbara Michalski (Donald), Myrna Hilgart and Eugene Setterman (Gloria); his sisters, Marilyn Gottardo of Chicago, IL., Lorraine Haegerl and Helen Radlinger; his children, Carol Murphy (Setterman), Raymond Setterman and Roger Setterman; his grandchildren, Robert Murphy, Wren Sprague and Dayton Murphy; and his children-in-law, Don Murphy, Robert Hilgart, Don Liebelt and Elnora Setterman Liebelt. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

“Norman was a wonderful person. I was fortunate to spend several summers staying on the farm with him and my Grand Parents and other Uncles and Aunts when I was young. Marilyn, my mother and Norman's sister (94) has dementia and I called him a few times in the last year for her and was so impressed with how positive and cheerful he was. He sounded like the man I knew 50 years ago when I was a boy. My deepest condolences to all who loved and cared for him. God Bless Norman.”
