He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Zach and Cecelia Zach (Kubley); his sister Laurie Jean Zach; his niece Kristie Thorp; and his brother-in-law Roland Thorp.

He is survived by: his son Timothy Zach (Jen) of Loup City, NE; his stepdaughter Jennifer Austin of Superior; his grandsons, Logan, Landen and Lukas; and his sisters, Karen Thorp (Fred Lintelmann) of Glidden and Connie Jenista of Valrico, FL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Frank's name to the Glidden Volunteer Fire Department.
