He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Kempf and Ellen Kempf; his wife Blondell Wiendenhoeft of Butternut; his son Kevin; his son-in-law David Butkus; his brothers, Stan, Larry, Dick and Dallas; and his siblings-in-law, Ray Sailor and Judy Kempf.
He is survived by: his children, Allen Kempf (Michelle) of Jacksonville, FL, Rebecca Butkus (Robert) of Byron Center, MI, Arthur Kempf (Michelle) of Mundelein, IL, Robin Butkus of Cleveland, Kenneth Kempf (Holly) of Rhinelander and Roxanne Feind (Randy) of Oshkosh; his sister Josephine "Jo" Sailors of Pinon Hills; and his brother-in-law James Wiedenhoeft (Joann) of Minocqua. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
