He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Standaert and Marjorie Standaert (Lenzen); his stepmother Edna; his niece Kim; his brother-in-law David; his parents-in-law, Herbert and Arliss; his godson Monty; and his sister-in-law Nancee.
He is survived by: his grandsons, William Philip, Benjamin Edward, Jack Brian and Graham Daniel; his wife Cheryl Melby; his children, Brent "Bert" Standaert (Sally) and Jessica "Poozie" Hawkins (Brent); his siblings, Bernie, Angie, Harry (Mary Lou) and Sandy (Jerry); and his stepbrother David Nelson.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family would prefer memorials.
