He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burmester and Anna Burmester (Alvermann); his wife Karen; and his siblings, Theodore and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his children, Alan Burmester (Linda) of Rice Lake, Cindy Traynor (Duane) of Glenwood City and Linda Feldhege (Tom) of New Richmond; and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Andrew, Michelle, Jason, Aaron, Jacob, Zachary, Logan and Christian. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 3 sisters; 1 sister-in-law; and 1 brother-in-law.
