He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Koenigs and Anna Koenigs (Karls); his parents-in-law, Betty and Francis Kohlmann Sr.; his brothers, Tom and Freddy Koenigs; and his sister-in-law Priscilla Johnson (Jack).
He is survived by: his stepmother Angeline Koenigs (Hochrein); his wife Chris; his children, Tanya Koenigs and Benjamin Koenigs (Amber); his grandchildren, Micah and Margo Koenigs; his siblings, Rita Baumhardt (Terry), Jim Koenigs (Sandy) of John Koenigs, JR, Allen Koenigs (Chris), Ruth Palmer (Bill), Jeff Koenigs (Tammi) and Raye Ann Koenigs; and his brothers-in-law, Francis Kohlmann Jr., Herb Kohlmann (Kathy) and Matt Kohlmann (Bev). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (94 Lincoln St, Elkhart Lake, WI 53020). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
