He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Raymond Schildgen and Stella Schildgen (Schmit); his wife Darlene Kirschbaum; his children, Ben Schildgen (Sherri) of Dubuque, IA, Jamie Sue Marcue (Ronnie) of Lancaster, WI and Lincoln Schildgen (Anna) of Hartfort, WI; his grandchildren, SaRee Pregler (Brandon), Natalie Schildgen (Nick), Ella Marcue (Cody), Heidi Marcue (Trevor) and Emily Bendlin; his great grandchildren, Nolan and Sienna Pregler; his siblings, Robert Schildgen (Brenda) and Janet Hochhausen (Jim); his mother-in-law Erma Kirschbaum; his brothers, Gene Kirschbaum (Coco), Pat Ploessl (Steve), Dan Kirschbaum (Diane), Lynn Kirschbaum (Ann) and Neil (Janet); his uncles, Bill Schmit and Emil Schmit (Gloria); his aunt Doris Wood; his nephew Jake Schildgen; and his father-in-law Norbert Kirschbaum. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
