He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hovey and Allie Hovey (Klevgard); his wife Carolyn Stern; and his siblings, Lenore Larson, Ruth Peterson, Mary Ann Starks, Dennison, Delaine, Amos and Vilas.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Carolyn) and Michelle; and his grandchildren, Aaron and Alyssa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
