We bid farewell to Gail A. Cole of Gillett, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 10, 2025 at the age of 75. Gail touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathan Horne and Juanita Horne of Sussex, WI; her parents-in-law, John and Mary Cole of Indianapolis, IN; her brother Duane Horne of Tilleda, WI; and her siblings-in-law, Susan Cole of Indianapolis, IN and John E. Cole of Gilbert, AZ..

She is survived by: her husband Bill; her children, James Cole (Trisha) of Janesville, WI and Heather Zortman (Brek) of Mukwonago, WI; her grandchildren, Luke Zortman (Kendra Elgin) of Council Bluffs, IA, Julia Zortman of Madison, WI, Anna and Ally Cole of Janesville, WI; and her sisters, Sandie Horne of Hartland, WI and Jeri Henman (Mike) of Mayville, WI.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Oconto County Fair Expo Hall in Zippel Park (150 N McKenzie St, Gillett, WI 54124). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

“My heart simply sank reading this. Gail was instrumental in establishing the foundation of our entire family in 1975. She hired me as the first Director of Sunshine Child Ctr; nurtured & supported our first born, Jen, as a second mom for her first years; introduced us to many wonderful Gillett families in our move to the area. Truly memorable events & cherished experiences were sharing adult beverages & watching the Jerry Lewis Telethon, Smelt Festivities, & having Jim & Heather in class. XOXO”
