Robert Sievert Obituary
Robert "Bob" Sievert, age 89, of Germantown, WI, was called to his eternal home on Reformation Day, October 31, 2024. Born on May 20, 1935, in Watertown, WI, he was the cherished son of Hubert and Ada (Frey) Sievert.
Bob was the beloved husband of Jean (Ihde) Sievert for 60 years and a loving dad to Julie (Ron) Lemke, Sharyn (Joe) Mantel, Scott (Bethany) Sievert, and Deanne (Ryan) Haines. He was a proud grandpa to Jeremy, Alexis, and Marissa Sievert; Taylor and Austin Lemke; Autumn and Dylan Mantel; and Luke, Josh, and Lauryn Haines. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger Sievert.
Bob served as a pastor in the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod leading congregations in Montrose, MN, from 1964 to 1968, and Onalaska, WI, from 1968-1971. In 1971, he was called to be the principal of St. Croix Lutheran High School in West St. Paul, MN, where he dedicated 15 years to guiding young people in their faith and academics. Following his time at St. Croix, he took on the role of Development Director at Wisconsin Lutheran Child and Family Service in Milwaukee, WI, until his retirement in 2007. Even in retirement Bob continued to serve by sharing his expertise as Development Resource Advisor for Wisconsin Lutheran Institutional Ministries in Milwaukee.
Photography was one of Bob's true passions. He found joy in capturing wedding memories, everyday moments, and his grandchildren's sporting events.
A Christian memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Salem Lutheran Church, 6840 N. 107th St. Milwaukee. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11:30 a.m., with a luncheon at the church afterward.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Croix Lutheran Academy or Christian Family Solutions (formerly WLCFS), in honor of Bob's lifelong commitment to faith and service.
