Diane M. Koch Obituary
Diane Mary Koch (78) of Germantown, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 19, 2024. Diane was born on January 28, 1946 and was the loving daughter of Sylvia and Roman Mueller. Diane and her brother, Daniel (82) grew up in Milwaukee, WI.
Diane graduated from Pius High School and attended the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Diane married James Koch and together raised three children, Scott 52, Laurie 51 and Jonathan 46. Diane worked alongside her husband as a bookkeeper at their family business, Armin Koch Furniture (Whitefish Bay, WI) which closed in 2008.
Diane loved her family immensely. She could often be heard sharing the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren, sometimes with a degree of harmless exaggeration. Her friends, many of whom she had for more than 60 years, were an extension of her family and she loved them as if they were brothers and sisters.
Diane loved to sit and talk with anyone that had a story to share or a problem to solve. She had a gift for gab and would always make herself available to provide words of encouragement to those in need of support. Her smile was infectious and her laughter was as frequent as the words she spoke.
Finally, Diane was the loving wife of her husband, James. Through 57 years of marriage, they built a beautiful life together, raised a loving family and traveled the world. Diane is survived by her husband, James Koch, brother, Daniel (Shirley), son, Scott Koch, daughter, Laurie (Robert) Nitz, son, Jonathan (Katina) Koch, grandchildren, Jessica Nitz, Luke Nitz, Cameron Koch and Amelia Koch.
Memorial Services will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Parish, 1200 St. Gabriel Way, Hubertus, WI, on Thursday, August 8, 2024. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am.
