He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Mantel and Pat Mantel; his in-laws, Richard and Mary Ann Schellinger; his sister-in-law Jodi Mantel; and his nephew Chase Mantel.

He is survived by: his wife Arleen; and his sons, Brandon of Hartford and Travis of Hubertus.
