Cecelia A. Janssen Obituary
(Nee Goyette) Born to Eternal Life on August 4, 2024, at the age of 93. Loving sister of Carol, Jim, Donna and Ron. Dedicated and devoted mother of Tom (Tara), Mark (Leila), David (Anne) and Linda (Jim). Proud grandma of Michael, Kali, Lindsey, Duke, Joe, Lauren, Morgan and Cole. Silly great-grandma to Bentley, Baylee, Hintze, Kaptin, Kingstin, Grady, Taylor, Ryan, Josie and soon-to-be great grandbaby #10. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ceil was preceded in death by both her parents, Leo and Mae Goyette, brothers Bob and Don and sister Margaret.
Professionally, Ceil excelled in retail sales and never met a customer she didn't love and converted many of them to repeat buyers. However, she mastered the informal role of social director. Her happiest times were coordinating events and planning impromptu parties. Her home was always open for a casual get together serving cold refreshments and a cheese and sausage plate.
Ceil loved all things Wisconsin sports. ESPN or the BIG10 Network were constants on her television, and she would dress in her blingiest Badger and Packer gear to cheer on her favorite teams.
Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Watching her own children compete in their respective sporting events or attending her grandchildren's baseball, basketball, football, soccer and swimming events, she was always the loudest fan in the stands, win or lose. She was so proud of each of them and is now their Guardian Angel.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Serenity Villa and Preceptor Hospice for their loving and compassionate care for Ceil.
Visitation will be Wednesday August 14, 2024, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, W204 N11940 Goldendale Rd. in Germantown, from 10:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 11:00 am. Graveside burial in the St. Boniface Church cemetery immediately following mass.
