He was predeceased by: his parent Jean; and his brothers, Jim and Tom Schoen. He is survived by: his son Peter Schoen (Jennifer) of Genoa City; his grandson Cameron Schoen; his siblings, Jean Kagan (Patrick), Dennis Schoen (Judy), Richard Schoen (Jane), Kevin Schoen, Stephen Schoen (Lori), Kathy Mullins (Terry) and Chrissy Turner (Steve); and his sisters-in-law, Eileen Schoen, Cathy Schoen and Faye Schoen.
