He was predeceased by: his parents, Onufry Wanta and Mary Wanta (Weller); and his brothers, William Wanta (Irene), Fred Wanta and James Wanta (Gail).
He is survived by: his fiancé Patricia'Pat'Kriesel; his children, Debbie Wolosek (Bill), Denise Springer (Marlon), Gerald'Jerry' Wanta (Julie), Donald Wanta (Deneen), Lisa Ann Wanta, Weston, Roger Wanta (Peg) and Karen Kostuch (Tim); his pet Buddy; his brother Robert Wanta (Delores); and his sister-in-law Betty Wanta. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (182590 County Rd C, Wittenberg, WI 54499). A rosary was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the same location.
