He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Bender and Constance Bender; his mother-in-law Victoria Muller; and his brothers-in-law, Juno and Timothy Muller.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa; his son Shane Bender (Jenni); his stepson Bob Byrne (Tina); his grandchildren, Allan, Whitney and Baby; his siblings, Lesley Duell (David) and Jim Bender (Peg); his father-in-law Robert Muller; and his siblings-in-law, Sherry Flory (Mike) and Charles Muller (Betsy).
