She was predeceased by: her mother Lela Mae Gillespie (Mortimer); her husband Donald Townsend; her stepfather Morris Mortimer; her father Cornelius Gillespie; her siblings, Rose, Edward Gillespie, William Mortimer and Joseph Mortimer; her son-in-law Gordie Schenker; and her grandchild Toby Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Gloria Schenker, David Townsend, Claude Townsend and Robert Townsend; and her sisters, Corine Wakefield (Jesse), Janice Scuddy, Kay Pollack (Karl) and Sherry Helling (Gus). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
