He is survived by: his wife Wanda Bender; his daughter Janet Striedl (Joe); his grandsons, Roman Striedl and Gideon Striedl; his siblings, Janina Pieta, Connie Bakunowicz, Theresa Kreidich and Kaz Bender; and also Richie Piontek. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, godchildren, and cousins.
